I’m not sure if management changed or if the cooks have changed but this was our first awful experience at Morettis In Barrington. We placed an order to go for grilled calamari, pasta with a side of meatballs with Italian sausage, the Halibut dinner and the broasted chicken. When we placed the order over the phone , we had them repeat the order back to ensure there weren’t any mistakes . Somehow ….. they still messed it up ! After waiting about an hour, we finally received our food only to discover that the grilled calamari and side of sausage with meatballs was missing. Mind you this was supposed to be MY birthday dinner celebration. When we called back they informed us that those items weren’t added to our order even though we had them repeat it back word for word The girl who answered had attitude, which didn’t help AT ALL. They eventually decided to drop off the missing items at no charge . This was still inconvenient because the rest of our food got cold before the remaining items even arrived . Once they did arrive … what a surprise, they forgot to include the meatballs with the sausage even after I called back to make sure they were included! To top it all off … nearly every single food item was OVERCOOKED. The Halibut was like jerky and my pasta was mush ! What a TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT , especially when it was supposed to be my birthday dinner . Over $100 later for what For overcooked food with half the items missing . What a waste of time and money.
I recommend trying Zazas in Lake Barrington instead . Amazing Italian restaurant with great service and great quality food ! Located at Shoreline Rd.

Went for bingo night (free) and it was also half price pizza night! Food was good, service was a little slow but could’ve been due to number of people vs staff.
Will be back!

Terrible experience with an onsite private event. Anyone can place a takeout order but if you want to order a couple of pizzas ahead with a small catering order for an onsite, time sensitive private event - you’re out of luck. Had to change our whole event schedule due to staff and kitchens slow response because we couldn’t order in advance. Wish I would’ve just placed a carry out order and carried it downstairs to our friends waiting for food.

As a group we ordered some vegetarian pizzas, and we found some pepperoni in the deep dish pizza we ordered. They didn’t seem to care that they gave vegetarians some meat and only gave us an additional 5% off the 20% off deep dish promotion they had going. Used to enjoy going here. Our group won’t be coming back

Food was delicious, but the service was lacking. I feel like it was due to understaff and there was only one server/ bartender taking care of our party that was 20 people.

Went to dinner here with my sister-in-law, the day after she was here with others. I chose the Salmon as did she. It was out of this world. Loved the salsa that was served with it. Will plan on coming back when I am back in town
