The fries were a highlight, being perfectly crispy and well-seasoned with a generous amount of Parmesan, delivering a satisfying taste.

Deep Dish Cheese Pizza: 3.3/10
This dish fell short of expectations. The pizza was poorly prepared, with uncut portions making it difficult to serve. The sauce and crust were mediocre, with a not so great aftertaste. Overall, the pizza lacked flavor, detracting significantly from the meal.

The lunch special, which included a small personal deep dish pizza and a side, did not provide satisfactory value. The quality of the pizza and the extensive wait time diminished the worth of the meal, making it feel like a poor investment.

One of the great pizzas to taste. Their dip-dish pizza makes your tummy full. Only had 2 slices and I can feel the fullness. Their tiramisu is well made and very good. A must try for those pizza affcionados. Price is worth it

I touched down at ORD on a crisp winter evening, the excitement of my trip swirling around me like the cold Chicago wind. I chose to stay in Oak Brook, a cozy and convenient spot just outside the city, for one very specific reason Giordano's. The legendary pizzeria was less than two miles from my hotel, and as someone coming from NYC, the home of thin crust, I was eager to experience the world-famous Chicago deep dish firsthand.

The cab ride to Giordano's felt like an eternity. As soon as I stepped out, the warm glow of the restaurant’s sign greeted me, promising comfort and indulgence. The moment I opened the door, I was enveloped by an intoxicating aroma of bubbling cheese, savory sausage, and rich tomato sauce. It hit me like a warm hug, a stark contrast to the icy air outside. My mouth watered immediately, and I couldn’t wait to dig in.

The hostess showed me to a cozy corner table, where I could watch the bustling kitchen through a small window. The anticipation was almost too much to bear as I placed my order for their iconic deep-dish pizza with sausage, pepperoni, and extra cheese. The server warned me it would take about 30-40 minutes to bake, and while that sounded like an eternity, I knew it would be worth the wait.

Not wanting to ruin my appetite, I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea and sipped it slowly, letting its warmth settle in as I watched diners around me enjoying their meals. The energy in the room was contagious families laughing, couples sharing slices, and the occasional “oohs” and “ahhs” as pizzas were placed on tables.

Finally, the moment arrived. My server approached with a large, steaming dish in hand, the golden crust glistening and the cheese bubbling like molten lava. My pizza had arrived. She set it down in front of me, and I could hardly wait as she cut the first slice.

As I lifted it, the cheese stretched in long, gooey strands, a sight that would make any pizza lover’s heart skip a beat. The first bite was pure bliss the buttery crust, the tangy sauce, the perfectly spiced sausage, and the rich, melty cheese combined into a symphony of flavors that I knew I’d never forget.

That night, I didn’t just eat pizza; I experienced it. By the time I polished off the last slice (yes, I ate the whole thing), I was in a deep-dish-induced state of euphoria. As I left Giordano’s, the chilly air hit me again, but this time, it didn’t bother me. I was warm, full, and utterly satisfied.

The thin crust of NYC will always hold a special place in my heart, but for that night in Chicago, deep dish reigned supreme.

Was in town with my wife and dog for a work related event. I was told that this place had great pizza.....that was an understatement!
We had the Medium Meat and More Meat Deep Dish for $32.95....worth every penny!!!!
1. Came in very sturdy box due too it's thick density.
