Lou's is a Chicago classic, serving up deep dish pizza and other specialties.

We had a spinach, cheese, tomato and onion special. Excellent!

They also have an excellent bar and the service is prompt and courteous.

I had a double Irish whiskey and my wife had a Chardonnay.

They have excellent appetizer choices, the combo is nice with several choices.

Sit at the bar for the best experience of eating and drinking.

We stopped by to try the famous Chicago deep pizza. The restaurant looks quite new with many tables available and plenty of parking. The waitress was very nice and helped us decide which size of pizza to order. We waited half an hour for the deep pizza (take that into account if you want to try it) and we really liked it! We tried the Malnati Chicago Classic with sausage and we were surprised by the quality of the ingredients.

Excellent service, fresh food. We ordered the deep dish Chicago classic. The dessert was rich in chocolate and delicious! The restaurant was cold inside, I couldn't remove my jacket to eat, but my server brought me a hot tea to help keep me warm. The issue with the restaurant being cold inside is that our pizza got cold before we had a second slice, I don't like cold pizza. Other than this, we will def be back, probably in the summer, though.

My brother in law frequents Chicago and highly recommended Lou Malnati’s for our trip! I truly wanted to love this place, therefore it pains me to write the following review.

Upon arrival, the atmosphere was upbeat and inviting! We were seated during dinner hours, almost immediately. Our server came over shortly after and quickly brought our drink order, educated us on pizza size and options. That’s pretty much where the good stops.

We ordered salad, and our pizzas. The salad came out promptly, however we were never given silverware. We had to track down silverware a few minutes after the salad was sat down. From there on, our server pretty much forgot about us until food came. We were not one time in the 2 hours we were there, offered a drink refill. We asked some random guy walking by to refill our drinks. He then completely forgot one of the 4 drinks. It was another 30 minutes to get our pizza. We asked our waiter if he would bring the drink that was forgotten earlier. Meal was gone before the drink was brought to us.

I wanted to be thorough in my review, because the food was decent, my kids absolutely loved the thin crust pepperoni. The deep dish was edible but just slightly disappointing, after such high expectations.

As you may know by now, dear reader, I do not shy away from pointing out areas for potential approvement/ aspects of the experience that missed the mark; regardless of whether or not others agree holds little bearing to me.

This is not fun, nor is it easy; certain establishments do not like me in the slightest.

However, my duty to report the truth to you, whether good or bad, holds more weight than a few injured egos in my book.

All that to say; in all truthfulness according to my experience, I cannot name a single facet of the Lou Malnati's experience that did not meet or exceed the mark.

Lou Malnati's; what an exemplary find.

Such quality ingredients in every dish ordered, phenomenal service from door to table, mindful seating arrangements, excellent optimization of floor plan, impressive branding, aesthetically pleasing decor,  tidy restrooms, accessibility considerations taken seriously as noted upon perusal of the site, and the highest rating for kid-friendliness I have ever given.

Upon entry, the gracious attendant guided us to the patio (quite spacious; the size of every table also allowed for ample legroom regardless of party size) with such warmth. The attendant that waited upon our table was extremely attentive; he moved swiftly, yet in such a courteous manner. Considering the high volume of customers in this gem 💎 of an eatery, I had not anticipated receiving the meal in such a timely fashion. The waiter also checked on us throughout the meal, which made me, personally, feel more-so valued as a customer.

The food itself was delectable. Everything ordered was flavorful, fresh, and well-presented (as depicted in the attached media; please browse at your leisure).

To conclude, I must mention another pleasant aspect of the Lou Malnati's experience; affordability. For the quality, serving size (everything was a sharable portion), and overall taste of all menu items ordered, the bill was under what we would have imagined.

Stopped by for a quick unplanned lunch with my husband. We were seated quickly but there was an extreme wait to be serviced. There was a point when arrivals after us, ordered before us. Nonetheless, we finally ordered and the food was great. I ordered a large Lou Malnatis Pizza and House wings --- that came to around $73. Not a bad experience but not a lunch option on a regular basis.

A weekend visit to Chicagoland isn't complete without some deep dish pizza. Hosts were welcoming, Tyler was fantastic, the drinks tasty, and the best part was the pizza.

Pizza was good, as usual. Service could be better- we were kind of forgotten about by our server. Our booth was close to the bar and the bartender ended up taking care of our check, I think he noticed how long we had been sitting at our table unattended to. Doubt I return to this location.
